Transforming Cognitive Research Across Species

The Mouse2Human Program is pioneering a new era in cognitive research by developing a cross-species validated platform for cognitive evaluation. Our mission is to redefine how we understand, measure, and treat cognitive function in both health and disease—accelerating the path from preclinical discovery to clinical impact.

Why Mouse2Human?

Traditional preclinical cognitive assessments often fail to translate into meaningful clinical outcomes. A key reason? The cognitive tasks used in animal studies are frequently too different from those used in humans—leading to poor cross-species validity and stalled therapeutic development.

At Mouse2Human, we are solving this challenge by creating a unified, validated touchscreen-based cognitive testing platform designed to work seamlessly across both mice and humans. This alignment ensures that what we learn in preclinical models directly informs—and accelerates—clinical research and treatment strategies.

We have built a platform that allows us to understand cognition at a very detailed level across species using touchscreen technology. This allows us to give the animal models tasks that are identical to the ones that would be used in humans, and they allow us to tap into very complex aspects of cognition, aspects like learning, memory, attention, decision-making, planning – ultimately this is what we want to fix.

Our Vision

To establish the gold standard for cognitive assessment—bridging the translational gap with validated tasks that speak the same “language” across species. Our platform empowers researchers, clinicians, and industry partners to evaluate cognitive function and therapies with greater precision, reliability, and impact.

What We Do

  • Cross-Species Cognitive Validation
We develop and optimize cognitive test batteries that are scientifically robust and directly comparable between animal models and human populations.
  • Collaborative Research
Partnering with leading scientists and clinicians worldwide to further validate and capitalise on our platform across diverse diseases and demographics.
  • Accelerating Therapeutic Development
Providing an efficient, reliable tool for evaluating novel treatments for neurological and psychiatric disorders.
  • Engaging the Community
From high-impact publications to interactive outreach, we’re committed to sharing our progress and supporting sustainable cognitive research initiatives.
